Who We Are
At Broad Axe Wrestling Club, we’re committed to not only teaching your youth athlete the centuries-old sport of wrestling with an emphasis on skill and technique, but also the values that accompany it, like accountability, resilience, teamwork, and discipline. Led by Owner Samuel Walters and Coaches Solomon Fleckman, Brent Fiorito, and Tom Iredale, our team at Broad Axe Wrestling Club encourages a competitive but fun and energetic environment for their students.
We offer wrestling practices for students of all ages, from kindergarten through high school, and for youth wrestlers of all levels of experience and skill. And although we adopted the name from the Broad Axe neighborhood of Philadelphia, we welcome students from all across the region to join our top-rated wrestling club.
Honoring the Tradition
At Broad Axe Wrestling Club, we honor the tradition of this sport that dates back several thousand years. Throughout history, wrestling remained one of the most important forms of training for youth not just in ancient Greece, but throughout the entire world as well. We honor that tradition by fostering an atmosphere that merits hard work and passion for the sport through fun training and exercises.
Our Coaching Style
Our no-nonsense coaching style is focused on forging relationships with the parents and wrestlers alike. We help students build strength and confidence, teaching them to handle adversity through conditioning and persistence. Broad Axe Wrestling Club provides your youth athlete with the skills and work ethic to handle the challenges they’ll face on the mat and in life.
