Why we’re changing

Consistency builds better wrestlers.

A closed eight-week cycle lets coaches build skills week by week—without repeatedly restarting the fundamentals.

  • A consistent training group
  • Skills that build each week
  • Faster, more confident progress

The beginner curriculum

8 weeks of core fundamentals.

Athletes learn wrestling skills, safe training habits, and how to be a great practice partner.

  1. Stance + motion
  2. Takedown fundamentals
  3. Top position skills
  4. Bottom position skills
  5. Defense + safety
  6. Practice etiquette

Athletes advance when they demonstrate the skills, habits, and readiness required—not simply because eight weeks have passed.

Real feedback for parents

A clear picture of their progress.

At the end of each eight-week cycle, coaches evaluate every athlete.

  1. Skills assessment
  2. Coach evaluation
  3. Parent meeting + recommendation

Clear, individualized guidance parents can trust.

Limited enrollment

30 spots available

New athletes may join only at the beginning of an eight-week cycle. When the program is full, families may join the next session’s waitlist. All other Broad Axe classes remain unchanged.

Current beginners keep their spots until they graduate or take a break.
