Girls are an important and growing part of the Broad Axe wrestling room. Our regular programs remain open to both boys and girls, but this Sunday class gives female wrestlers additional time to train with one another, develop strong partnerships, and build a deeper sense of community.
The goal is not to separate girls from the rest of Broad Axe. It is to give them another valuable training opportunity.
Wrestlers should expect detailed instruction, purposeful work, and a positive environment where they can challenge themselves. Practices are adjusted to the experience and developmental needs of the athletes in the room.
Girls-Only practices may include:
Whether an athlete is learning the fundamentals or preparing for high-level competition, she has something to learn and something to contribute.
Experienced wrestlers are expected to help strengthen the room and support developing teammates. Newer wrestlers are encouraged to ask questions, stay coachable, and become comfortable working through challenges.
Everyone trains. Everyone learns. Everyone helps the room grow.
Girls-Only Wrestling is included with an active Broad Axe monthly membership.
Members may attend the Sunday class in addition to their regularly assigned Broad Axe program. The Girls-Only class does not replace an athlete’s primary Toddler, Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced practice schedule.
Drop-ins are welcome for $30.
